Mezzanines
Mezzanines Can Stop You from Running out of space!
Every square inch of warehouse storage space or facility floor space is vital to your bottom line.
Before considering expansion or relocation, look at installing a mezzanine to maximize your existing space. Mezzanines can double storage space, or increase workspace, without the need to pay additional property taxes.
Many companies extend the use of existing square footage with mezzanines for additional in-plant office space, small parts storage, picking & sorting operations, and more.
Types of Mezzanines:
-
Free Standing Mezzanines – The most common. Freestanding mezzanines offer the greatest flexibility in set-up and reconfiguration and can double your floor space. (Can also be depreciated over a short period of time, providing tax advantages.)
-
Shelving Supported Mezzanines – Ideal for smaller item storage alongside existing shelving. This is the most economical type of mezzanine, however, is also the least flexible in terms of reconfiguration.
-
Rack Supported Mezzanines – Sometimes called “cat-walk systems”. These mezzanine configurations are high bay pallet racking with elevated walkways in the aisles between the rack.
Mezzanines are available in variable first-level heights and can be customized with a variety of floor surfaces, stairs, handrails, and gates.
Flooring options range from standard roof decking and treated wood, to bar grating, metal or concrete. The platform can be combined with other products to form a full turnkey system to match facility growth. Customized systems are also available.
